Course content
|
Pharmacology introduces the basic knowledge from the branch of pharmacology. It is divided into general pharmacology (characteristics of the branch, the definition of medication, the names and forms , journal Lékopis, prescription of drugs) and special pharmacology ( an overview of drug groups used in medicine including their indications, contraindication, dosage and side effects). Technical devices for the preparation, application and use of drugs. General pharmacology: - The definition of the branch and sub-branches of pharmacology - The development of medications, the definitions of names, medication database - pharmacokinetics; the life story of medicine in the organism, ways of medication administration - pharmacodynamics; the mechanisms of medication effects, drug interaction, drug addiction Special pharmacology: Medications affecting periphery neural system; Medications affecting CNS - an overview Psychopharmacs - an overview Medications used in the treatment of pain Medication affecting the heart and vessels Diuretics; blood substitutes, infusion solutions with electrolytes Medications of kinetic system An overview of medications affecting respiratory system: anti-asthmatics, anti-tusics, expectorants An overview of medications affecting gastrointestinal tract, spazmolytics, medications against ulcer disease, etc. Medications affecting endocrine system, insulin, peroral anti-diabetics, steroid hormones Antibiotics a anti infection chemotherapeutics, antiseptics and disinfections An overview of anti-tumor medications Vitamins and dietary formulations; enzymes An overview of diagnostic means

Pharmacology apprises with the basic knowledge from the area of pharmacology. It is divided on general pharmacology (branch characterization, definition of medicament, drugs, medicaments names, drug forms, CZ codex, drugs prescription) and special pharmacology (summary of drug groups utilized in medicine including their indications, contra-indications, dosing and side effects. Technical devices for preparation, application and utilization of medicaments.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
