Course content
Lecture: 1) Cardiology: ischemic heart disease, acute coronary syndromes 2) Cardiology: heart rhythm disorders 3) Cardiology: hypertension, acute and chronic heart failure, diseases of the pulmonary circulation 4) Cardiology: congenital and acquired heart defects; cardiomyopathy; endocardial and epicardial diseases, aortic diseases; heart tumors 5) Gastroenterology: diseases of the esophagus, stomach (gastroduodenal ulcer) 6) Gastroenterology: diseases of the intestine (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, colorectal cancer) and liver (liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis) 7) Gastroenterology: diseases of the gallbladder and bile ducts, pancreas (acute and chronic pancreatitis) Exercises: 1) Nursing process in patients with ischemic heart disease 2) Nursing process in a patient with acute myocardial infarction 3) Nursing process in a patient with hypertension, acute and chronic heart failure 4) Nursing process in the patient before and after SKG, PCI, TEE, PCM, ICD, CRT, CRTD 5) Nursing process in a patient with gastroduodenal ulcer 6) Nursing process in a patient with celiac disease, non-specific intestinal inflammation 7) Nursing process in a patient with gallbladder disease, bile duct disease and pancreatic disease

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the problems of internal medicine and to implement the nursing process for individual internal diseases. The theoretical-practical course is part of a complex of courses from clinical nursing in internal medicine. It introduces the differences of treatment and nursing care of patients in internal medicine, specifies the nursing process in internal medicine.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Test

Classified credit: - 80% attendance at seminars, - passing the test.
