Lectures: 1) Abdominal wall disease, sudden abdominal episodes 2) Plastic surgery (procedures in plastic surgery, burns) 3) Urology (congenital malformations, urolithiasis, prostate disease, inflammation, other diseases in urology) 4) Neurosurgery 1 (craniocerebral injury: haematomas, bleeding, contusio, commotio and compresio cerebri) 5) Neurosurgery 2 (intracranial hypertension, brain and spinal cord cancer) and spinal surgery 6) Transplantology (general characteristics of transplantation, heart and lung transplantation, abdominal transplantation) and other organs: kidney, liver, pancreas, intestine, uterus) Exercises: 1) Specifics of nursing care in patients after hernia surgery; specifics of nursing care in a patient with a sudden abdominal event 2) Specifics of nursing care in patients with burns 3) Specifics of nursing care in patients with kidney and urinary tract diseases 4) Specifics of nursing care in patients with craniocerebral bleeding; specifics of nursing care of patient with concussion 5) Specifics of nursing care in a patient in a patient after brain surgery; specifics of nursing care in patients with spine diseases 6) Specifics of nursing care in a patient after transplantation

Learning outcomes
|
The subject Nursing Care in Surgical Fields 1-2 is conceived as theoretical-practical. It characterizes clinical conditions in surgical fields in terms of nursing care and needs of patients altered in connection with surgical diseases of respiratory, digestive and cardiovascular tract, kidneys and urinary tract, central nervous system etc. It provides an overview of the specifics of surgical nursing care in patients in surgical fields. focused on effective solutions of nursing problems of patients in abdominal and thoracic surgery, cardiosurgery, neurosurgery, in the fields of urology, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, transplantology and oncosurgery etc.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

|
Oral exam
Credit: - 80% attendance at exercises, - written test. Exam: - oral exam.
