Course content
|
Lectures: 1) Field of gynecology and obstetrics, its specialization; female reproductive organ anatomy; developmental disorders of the genitals; uterine abnormalities; examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics; special examination methods in gynecology; determination of hormonal levels in a woman; cycle faults 2) Sterility, infertility (etiology, diagnostics, therapy); sex life 3) Inflammation of the genitals and urinary tract; venereal diseases; epithelial changes not on the cervix. 4) Cancer in gynecology; surgical methods in gynecology, gynecological surgery, preparation for surgery, postoperative care 5) Physiological pregnancy; irregular pregnancy; physiological delivery; irregular birth; operational labor; puerperium 6) Newborn care; neonatologie; sudden events in gynecology and obstetrics; pediatric gynecology Exercises: 1) Nursing process in women with sterility and infertility 2) Nursing process in women with inflammation of the genitals 3) Nursing process in women with urinary tract infection and venereal disease 4) Nursing process in women with gynecological cancer 5) Nursing process in women during pregnancy and puerperium 6) Nursing process of newborn

Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed as theoretical-practical. The course is designed as a theoretical-practical unit. It is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. It acquaints students with women's health care. It characterizes clinical conditions of gynecological diseases in terms of nursing care and needs of patients altered in connection with the disease, their etiology, symptomatics, diagnostics and treatment. It also acquaints students with the diagnosis of pregnancy and preventive care for pregnant women and childbirth. Emphasis is placed on the specifics of nursing care conditioned by the different needs of women and their satisfaction, including healthy sex life.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Oral exam, Test
Credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - activity during exercises. Exam: - oral exam.
