Course content
Lectures: 1) Physiology and pathophysiology of nutrition, criteria of healthy nutrition 2) Evaluation of nutritional status and energy-nutritional balance, malnutrition and its consequences 3) Organization of nutritional care in outpatient and hospital, nutritional team 4) Nutritional recommendations for individual age categories 5) Enteral nutrition, dietary system in hospitals, preparation and distribution of food in hospital 6) Parenteral nutrition 7) Specifics of nutrition in internal diseases 8) Specifics of nutrition in surgical diseases 9) Specifics of nutrition in intensive care

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as theoretical. It provides comprehensive information on the fundamentals of good human nutrition and the impact of nutrition on human health. It acquaints students with principles of food preparation and alternative ways of administration - parenteral and enteral nutrition in individual diseases. It introduces the risks of malnutrition and excessive nutrition. It also includes nutritional assessment and energy-nutritional balance.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
