1) Latin language, its morphology, pronunciation. 2) Substantives of I. and II. declension 3) Substance of III. - V. declension 4) Adjectives, numerals 5) Verbs 6) Word formation 7) Medical terminology focusing on anatomy, physiology, pathology and pathophysiology 8) General medical terminology of diseases 9) Medical terminology of trauma and polytrauma 10) Medical terminology of surgical disciplines 11) Medical terminology of internal medicine 12) Medical terminology of selected medical disciplines 13) Abbreviations in medical terminology 14) Repetition

Learning outcomes
|
The subject introduces the basics of Latin and Greek terminology and medical terminology, which is a basic requirement for the study of other specialized subjects. The aim of the course is to orientate in medical text and speech. Students will acquire knowledge of Latin and Greek medical terminology and will be able to understand Latin medical texts in medical documentation.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
