Master: Biological material preparation. Qualitative testing of the sugars, fats, proteins and nucleic acids. Vitamins detection. Basic methods of isolation in the biochemistry (extraction, chromatography).
To practically prove and determine carbohydrate, lipids, amino-acids, proteins, nucleic acids and enzymes. To practically and expertly present own laboratory work and results. To work practically and safely in chemistry lab. To explain and deduce basic knowledge on field, including simpler problem solving.

Prerequisites
knowledge of high school chemistry
Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination
100% attendance, elaborated and defended protocols for every exercise Each laboratory is initiated by a short written test. Test will verify the knowledge of principles of current laboratory task. In the event of not sufficient knowledge necessary to perform laboratory exercises, student may be excluded from the laboratory.
