The seminar builds on the subject of Studies of German-speaking Countries and complements it. Its aim is to deepen the knowledge gained through the intercultural and intracultural theoretical models and to strengthen students' culturally-interpretative competences. Cultural development is conceived as a continuous process, such as an intercultural and intrarcultural exchange of ideas and stimuli. In order to present this issue in its entire multilateral perspective, the content concept of the subject will move in the following levels: First, the level of intercultural perception, then the historical-cultural level, and finally the language level. In this context, the seminar will focus on the following thematic areas: Basic definition of the issues of intercultural and intracultural theoretical models as the first area, followed by relations between Czechs and Germans in their historical development and contemporary form, and finally the phenomenon of intercultural learning and foreign languages as a means of intercultural understanding. All seminar topics will be set in the European cultural and historical context.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.
