Course content
1. The teacher's comprehensive approach to the curriculum. Choosing a teaching strategy to achieve pupils' learning outcomes 2. Lesson planning. Evidence-Based Teaching as a methodological basis for decision-making in the classroom. 3. Forms and methods that support learning and collaboration. The principle of competition in teaching. 4. The assessment process in the context of the expectations of families, schools and pupils. Specific features of school assessment. Typology of school assessment. 5. Pedagogical assessment skills as an opportunity to develop pupils' learning. 6. Didactic skills for adapting teaching when working with a mixed-ability class. Team teaching, collaboration with a teaching assistant.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)

Learning outcomes
The course builds on General didactics 1 (education theory) and accentuates especially the theory of school education.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of General didactics 2 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral theses 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process 5. to be motivated for continuous learning in the field
Prerequisites
The student has knowledge of general didactics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

Active participation in lessons, completion of ongoing assignments, oral examination.
