Course content
Vocabulary: profession and nationalities, daily life and leisure, physical and psychological description, number of cardinals Grammar: definite and indefinite articles, gender and number of nouns and adjectives, interrogation and negation, present conjugation Phonetics: intonation, connection, oral and nasal vowels Communication: getting to know each other, inviting and responding to an invitation, describing people Civilization: Paris, monuments and public places, the life of four Parisians from different professions

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
- to develop and strengthen lexical and phraseological units of a general language - to develop basic language competence, mainly listening and text understanding - to develop different forms of speaking performance - discussions, presentations - systematic strengthening of a specific business vocabulary
Students will acquire the threshold level of A1 as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Students entry level is such as to enable them to acquire the CEFR level required at the end of the semester.
