Course content
Elementary aspects and conversation about common issues: - present perfect - past tense of the strong (irregular) verbs + groups of strong verbs - temporal clauses - coordinative conjunctions (2nd part) - direction adverbs her and hin and their compositions - past tense of the so-called mixed verbs - past participle of the strong verbs - subordinate clauses with the conjunctions dass, damit.

Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
- to develop and strengthen lexical and phraseological units of a general language - to develop basic language competence, mainly listening and text understanding - to develop different forms of speaking performance - discussions, presentations - systematic strengthening of a specific vocabulary Students will acquire the sub-threshold level of A2 as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Students' entry level is such as to enable them to acquire the CEFR level required at the end of the semester.

Credit: - participation in seminars - completion of tests during the course of study - a fully developed oral presentation - continuous fulfilment of credit conditions based on requirements of lecturers - individual work with e-learning materials - the successful completion of the credit test.
