Lectures (topics): 1. International law: concept, sources, relationship to national law 2. Entities of international law. 3. International organisation. 4. World Trade Organization. 5. General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. 6. Private international law: concept, sources, international element, methods of legal regulation. 7. Collision method: concept, sources, conflict rule, boundary determinant, applicable law, public policy. 8. Factual rights. Liability law. Rome Convention, Rome I and II Regulations 9. United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: concept, subject matter, conditions of use, concluding, acquisition of property. 10. The UN Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: Seller's obligations, risk transfer, liability for defects, buyer's rights. 11. United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: Buyer's Obligations, Seller's Rights, Liability for Damage. 12. International carriage of goods. International payments. Incoterms. 13. Procedural law: concept, sources, international element, jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, Lugano Convention, Brussels I Regulation, Brussels I bis. 14. Arbitration: concept, sources, arbitration agreement, arbitration award, recognition and performance of foreign arbitral tribunals.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will become familiar with valid legal regulations in the area of international law. It introduces international public law, international private law, international trade law, sources of international law, European private international law.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme. Students will gain competence to apply knowledge from this course in practice, in bachelor thesis, in master thesis.
