Course content
|
Geographic Information Systems - Definitions and Characteristics. Spatial phenomena and objects and their modeling (representations). Space analyzes - definition, definition, history, objectives, classification of methods used. Selected methods of spatial analyzes (network analysis, map algebra, distance analyzes, database queries, spatial combinations of objects - topological overlays, spatial statistical methods). Digital terrain models, interpolation algorithms. Building GIS.

The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with theoretical knowledge and methods of building and use of geographic information systems, with theoretical knowledge of advanced methods of spatial analyzes and possibilities of their use.
