Course content
Geographic Information Systems. Spatial phenomena and objects and their modeling (representation). Spatial analyses - determination, definition, history, objectives, classification of used methods. Selected methods of spatial analyses (network analysis, map algebra, distance analyses, database queries, spatial combinations of objects - topological overlaps, spatial statistical methods). Visualization methods

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with theoretical knowledge and methods of building and the use of geographic information systems, theoretical basis of selected methods of spatial analysis and possibilities of their use.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
