Course content
Advanced DM methods and procedures. Theoretical principles and solutions to practical problems using Data Mining methods. Web Mining, its possibilities, methods and utilization. Text Mining. its possibilities, methods and utilization. Preprocessing, transforming and verifying data. Selection of appropriate methods, process evaluation and interpretation of results. Case studies. Solving problems of doctoral work using DM methods.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to deepen knowledge of Data Mining (DM) and possibilities of its utilization. Students will learn to use appropriate modeling methods and correctly evaluate and interpret the resulting models. They will learn to work as a team member to solve DM tasks.

exam: oral, written processing and successful defense of the project with a focus on the state doctoral examination and doctoral dissertation theses; the general view of doctoral students on modern methods in the field of mining and knowledge acquisition.
