Course content
Lectures (topics): BASIC TERMS AND CONCEPTS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT 1. Project a management tool (project lifecycle). 2. Organizational structure of project management. 3. Project management phases. PROJECT ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES 4. Troubleshooting. 5. Project Planning. 6. Project models. 7. Time analysis of projects. 8. Analysis of time reserves. 9. Cost analysis of projects. 10. Resource analysis. 11. Risk analysis. 12. Financial analysis. 13. Multi-criteria analysis of projects. 14. Project management and implementation. Seminars: The content of the seminars consists in practicing basic optimization tasks on graphs and calculations in project management, including mastering the work with MS Project.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Learning outcomes
Project management is an interdisciplinary approach. The subject focuses mainly on its quantitative aspects. The project is taken as a management tool, indicators such as time, cost, resources, quality, risk and finance are analyzed. The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basic techniques of analysis, also with the design, implementation and evaluation of projects, furthermore with human resources and teamwork. The course develops the ability to apply the techniques to solve real problems, but also to apply them to a fictitious project, which students will advocate. Software, communication tools used in project management and new trends (agile approaches) are also introduced.

Combined examination

Credit: Case study with MS Project. Exam: Written test.
