Lectures: 1. Computers and computer systems - basic structure, classification, compatibility. 2. Status and trends of microprocessor technology. 3. Semiconductor memory. 4. High Capacity External and Internal Memory. 5. Typical and innovative computer input and output devices. 6. Communication interface of external devices. 7. Imaging units and graphics cards. 8. System software. 9. Mobile devices and selected applications. 10. Advanced multimedia tools and technologies. 11. Innovative technologies for the acquisition and presentation of multimedia data, virtual reality. 12. Positioning systems and their application in information technology. 13. Cyber security technology (cyber threats and attacks, anti-virus protection). 14. 14. Autonomous systems.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide basic knowledge about technical means, classification, characteristics and trends in the development of information systems. At the same time, the course will provide the theoretical prerequisites for comparing and evaluating IT technology resources and applying them on the basis of specified criteria.
