Course content
Topics Knowledge society, knowledge organization, knowledge meaning, and sharing in an organization. Position of knowledge engineer in the organization, motivation of employees to share knowledge. Knowledge process, creation of knowledge infrastructure and knowledge network in the organization. Knowledge management and its implementation in the organization. Methods and techniques of knowledge management. Sharing knowledge in virtual teams and organizations. Applying knowledge management in risk management and crisis situations. Protecting knowledge in the organization. Perspectives and the future of knowledge management.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of utilization and transformation of intellectual capital (knowledge of employees recorded on suitable media, knowledge hidden in talent management and long-term experience of the employees of the organization) in order to increase productivity, create new values and achieve higher competitiveness. It is essential that organizations try to create a suitable environment for motivating employees to share knowledge and apply it in the innovation process, including the use of modern information and communication technologies.
