Course content
1. Information system from the point of view of business processes. 2. Strategy and Information Systems. 3. Information support and communication environment of the information society. 4. Management of information systems. 5. SSME - Service Science, Management, and Engineering Approaches to Information Support. 6. Use of modern ICT to support information security. 7. Metrics and evaluation of information systems. 8. Limitations in the design and operation of information systems in business practice. 9. Business networks and critical factors for their success. 10. Security and Reliability of Information Systems in Emergency Situations. 11. Information and communication support in emergency situations. 12. Soft approaches to information systems.

Learning outcomes
The subject deals with information support and information security of enterprises and organizations in the conditions of the Czech Republic and the EU. Significant attention is paid to sectors with high technological development dynamics in relation to innovative information services and to strategic management of information systems including information support of business networks. The central theme is also the use of systemic and agile approaches while dealing with emergencies. The aim of the course is to acquaint PhD students with the latest trends, practical experiences and theoretical knowledge from the field of IS / IT that with increasing importance contribute the success or failure of enterprises, organizations and information and knowledge society.
