1. EU History - phases, new EU members 2. EU Institutions - European Commission, European Parliament, European Council 3. Integration stages, legal acts 4. Free movement of goods 5. Free movement of services and capital 6. Free movement of people, asylum policy 7. Effects of the single market 8. Competition policy of the EU 9. Monetary union, theory of the optimal currency area 10. Common trade policy of the EU 11. WTO 12. - 13. External trade relations of the EU Seminars: 1. Regional policy and the link to the single market 2. Brexit and its consequences to the single market 3. Competition policy 4. - 6 Presentation of the case studies 7. Test

Learning outcomes
The subject focuses on the essential economic issues in the EU. The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge about the single market of the EU and the EU external relations.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
