Course content
Lectures: 1.Ethics and its basic categories 2.Ethical theories 3.Public administration ethics, moral standards and ethical values, public interests 4.Ethical thinking and decision making, models of ethical decision making process, public officers and their decision making process 5.Ethical probléme and conflicts, ethical behaviour, principals and responsibility in public administration 6.Corporate culture, integration of ethics into public administration 7.Ethical codes in public administration

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 20 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim is to stress the importance of the ethics for officers in public administration, to introduce basic ethical categories, history and ethical theories to students and to stimulate their ethical thinking, devellop their knowledge and skills in relation to problem solution and decision making process in public administration and thus to contribute to the development of ethical values of individuals.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
