Obsah Seminars (topics): 1. The concept of culture, the dimensions of cultural differences and their influence on communication and management. 2. The concept of corporate culture, its typology and connection to corporate strategy. 3. Creation and development of effective intercultural teams. 4. National culture, cultural dimensions and standards. 5. Methods of researching individual national cultures. 6. Adaptation in a foreign culture. Cultural shock. 7. Specific cultural contexts (diversity, gender relations, teams). 8. Intercultural negotiation. Positional and principled negotiations. 9. Intercultural competence and its development, intercultural learning, trainings of intercultural communication and cooperation. 10. Cultural specifics of different nations.

Learning outcomes
|
Students gain information about culture, the dimensions of cultural differences and their impact on communication between particular nationalities. The course contributes to the development of general cultural adaptability and sensitivity of students to different nationalities and religions. Analysis and understanding of cultural contexts leads to the acquisition of the principles of effective communication with members of other cultures within the international environment.
