Course content
Lectures (topics): 1. Specifics of management and managerial activities in tourism. 2. Management of accommodation facilities - categorization and classification of facilities 3. Management of accommodation facilities - Rooms Division, F&B 4. Management of accommodation facilities - Sales & Marketing Dpt., Facility and HR Management 5. Management of catering facilities 6. Management of travel agency operations 7. Management of transport services 8. Management of other services and entities in tourism (amusement parks, events, ski resorts, rental companies...) 9. Specifics of financial management, revenue & yield management 10. Specifics of human resources management in tourism 11. Socially responsible tourism in the context of service management 12. Green management - environmental approach in management processes 13. CRM and customer value in tourism 14. Service quality management in tourism, customer satisfaction Seminars: Solution of practical tasks corresponding to individual blocks of the lectured material.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the issues of management of services provided in tourism.
Students will gain knowledge in the subject in accordance with the goal and content.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic issues of tourism.
