The student will ensure that an agreement on the provision of guided internship (between the faculty and the relevant company) is drawn up by 30 November. The guided internship is carried out within the prescribed length of 10 working weeks and the scope of 3 days per week and should take place in only one organisation. The guided internship takes place according to the curriculum in the summer semester of the third year. Due to the seasonality of the tourism industry, students of the Tourism specialisation may undertake the guided internschip in a period other than the sixth semester by agreement with the designated member of staff. In this case, the deadline for submission of the agreement is 30 days before the start of the guided practice. At the same time, the required duration of the placement must be observed. On the basis of the completion of the internship, students will prepare a final report and provide a confirmation of completion of the internship. The organisation of guided practice is regulated by the dean's directive. The structure of the final report should involve the following: a) opening page, b) characteristics of the company, institution, organisation, business, c) a description of the department in terms of its activities and function within the organisation/ company structure, d) a description of the activities carried out, e) an analysis and evaluation of strengths and weaknesses, gained knowledge, experience, and carried out activities, f) conclusions and a description of the internship benefits in terms of the study programme specifications.

Guided internship has to take place in any technical economic activity in compliance with the profile of the study programme and in connection to the chosen specialisation in the Czech Republic or abroad. Students have to arrange the internship themselves; in addition, they have to negotiate the internship guarantor in the given institution in 4th semester of their studies. Moreover, they have to arrange the agreement on guided internship (between the faculty and the company). The organisation of the guided internship is governed by the Directive of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, TUL as amended. Based on the internship, students write a final report and provide a confirmation of the internship complementation.
