Course content
Lectures (topics): 1. Introduction, the realtionship between ethics and morals, basic categories and terms of ethics 2. Ethical thinking in business, ethical decision making, ethical leadership 3. Corporate culture 4. Corporate social responsibility and contemporary trends 5. Tools and methods for designing an ethical organization 6. Compliance and relations to business ethics 7. Ethical issues in organizations, business ethics in global environment Seminars: 1. Introduction, terms of credits and examination, need for ethics. 2. Building ethical business. 3. Ethics in advertising, ethical behaviour towards customers. 4. Creation of corporate social responsibility statement. 5. Creation of code of ethics. 6. Solving ethical dilemma in fictional company. 7. Evaluation of proposed dilemma solutions.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to highlight the importance of ethics in management and business, to introduce students to the history and content of business ethics, to introduce them to the basic concepts, the history of ethics and theories, to stimulate students to think about ethical issues, to develop their knowledge and skills in decision-making and problem-solving in relation to ethical criteria, and to form ethical values of an individual.
On completion of the module, the student will be able: - To understand the relationship between ethics and economic, political and social situations. - To understand business ethics in the content of personal management, finance, marketing and other managerial areas. - To develop social skills that enbale to enhance ethical behaviour. - To develop knowledge, skills and analytical techniques for decision making and problem solving in conformity with business ethics. - To create awareness of methods and procedures for effective control to maintain ethical standards in practice.

Pre-requisities: Study in the fields of Economics, Business, Management, Finance and Marketing

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Credit: A condition for getting credit is the completion of a seminar project in which the student demonstrates, on the basis of the assignment, the mastery of the required material and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to practical examples. The assignment of the project is group work. The second condition is participation in the seminars (only 1 absence is allowed per semester). Examination: written Assessment: The acquired knowledge and insights will be assessed by preparing a group project, which will be presented during the seminars. Assessment: 10 points (min. 6 points) Examination: written - will cover all the areas Assessment: 20 points (min. 13 points) Minimum requirements for passing the course including both assessments: 66% (20 points)
