Course content
Solving of case studies in Czech and English language, using available computer applications. Contents of case studies and required skills: 1. foundation of the purchase agreement in international trade, 2. proforma invoice application, 3. Incoterms 2010 application, 4. choice of suitable payment condition, security risks associated with the payment condition, 5. work on recovery documents, letters of credit and bills of exchange, 6. pricing and evaluating the effectiveness of foreign trade operations, 7. choice of an appropriate range of insurance, 8. choice of appropriate transport mode and transport path, work with traffic documents 9. choice of an appropriate customs procedure, proof of goods origin, customs valuation, calculation of the customs debt, the process of customs clearance, customs clearance documents, 10. continuous export (import) business case.

Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 24 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Solving of projects in foreign languages. The aim is to develop skills of theoretical experience aplication in practice, to show possibilities of problem situation (in practice of international business) solvings, with emphasis on potential risks.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
