The aim of the course is to make students familiar with basic principles of textile materials testing and their importance for quality control of textile products. Within the lectures will be explained the specifics of measuring systems for textile materials, further will be presented methods and procedures for evaluation of physical and geometrical properties of textiles, and measurements of their surfaces and unevenness. Furthermore, basic methods of static and time-dependent mechanical properties measurements will be presented. Finally, the basics of fastness and utility testing will be explained, and the application of image analysis in textile testing will be presented.
Theoretical and practical knowledge dealing with content of lectures and excercises
