Course content
Lectures (topics): 1. History of non-life insurance and its legal framework, general principles of property insurance 2. Calculation of premiums in non-life insurance. 3. Household and building insurance. 4. Insurance of technical risks. 5. Travel insurance, travel agent insurance. 6. Liability insurance. 7. Employer's liability insurance. 8. Liability car insurance. 9. Liability for motor vehicle accidents. 10. Consignment insurance. 11. Agricultural insurance. 12. Legal protection insurance. 13. Credit insurance. 14. Insurance of enterprises and entrepreneurs. Seminars (topics): 1. Assignment of semestral projects, instructions. 2. The latest products - analysis. 3. Mandatory Liability car insurance and liability for motor vehicle accidents - practical information, description of the basic products on the market. 4. Semestral projects consultations, discussion on current issues linked with the lecture. 5. Summary of basic characteristics and differences among individual types of property insurance. 6.-7. Semestral projects presentations, discussion on a selected topic.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students not only the basic characteristics of individual types of life insurance, but also to specify the role of the private life insurance currently (importance of life insurance in the financial, insurance and pensions market) and outline the expected development.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the subject of Principles of Insurance Industry.
