Course content

1.-3. One-Dimensional Analysis (basic terms, types of data, frequency distributions, descriptive statistics). 4.-5. Theory of Probability (basic terms, charakteristics, probability distributions). 6.-7. Mathematical Statistics (Theory of Estimation, Hypothesis Tests). 8. Dependencies of Categorical and Numeric Variables. 9. Regression Analysis. 10. Correlation Analysis. 11. Time Series Analysis (introduction, characteristics). 12. Trend Analysis. Forecasting. 13. Seasonal and Irregular Components of Time Series. 14. Comparison of Values of Statistical Indicators.

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces basic statistical tools and methods of data processing. It adresses system of descriptive characteristics, includes introduction to theory of probability and mathematical statistics, contains analysis of dependencies and time series analysis.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Knowledge of MA1, computer skills.

|
Combined examination
Credit - attendance min. 80 %, written credit test min. 60 %. Exam - written exam min. 60 %.
