Software tools and its possibilities for dependability and risk assessment during early phases of lifecycle. 4.-5. Software tools and its usability for predictive analysis, estimations and dependability and risk assessment. 6.-7. Software tools for design and simulation of reliability tests. 8.-9. Software tools for dependability and risk modelling during pruduction, operational and maintenance phases. 10.-11. Software tools for evidence of tests, operation and maintenance. 12.-13. Software tools for assessment, modelling and simulations of test results, operational and maintenance records. 14. Software tools for lifecycle costs assessment. Practices: The topics are practiced according to the lectures. Students solve real problems using software tools (Risk Spectrum, ITEM, Quanterion).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Lecture, Practicum
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Reliability, risk and maintenance analyses are typically performed with software tools. The aim of this course is to acquaint students with these softwares and enable them to solve given examples.
Students will learn to use the selected commercial and free software for reliability, risk and maintenance analyses.
Prerequisites
