Course content
|
Lectures: 1. Introduction, polymer waste definition and statistical data, how to deal with waste. Rules of Europe and Czech Republic goverments. Types of polymer waste. 2. Properties and structure of the polymer materials according to its recyclation. 3. Technology of fibrous waste recycling. 4. Technology of shredding and milling. 5. Technology of regranulation. 6. Technology of the guided polymer degradation 7. Technology of pyrolisis and gasification, biotechnological technologies, real biofuel 8. Technology of incineration 9. Technology of landfilling and composting 10. Examples of product cycles (PET bottles, tyres, car parts...), waste production alternatives - biodegradable polymers, renewable recourses. Seminar work of the selected recycling topic.

Learning outcomes
|
The topic is aimed to explation about recycling processes of polymeric materials and products. The main polymer parameters and properties are introduced, which are connected to recycling. The main recycling technologies are described from beginning to end product. Examples of significant recycling cycles are described too.
Student wil reach huge knowledge about this topic.
