Learning outcomes
|
Lectures, seminars, and field trips introducing students to the issues of landscape creation and conservation, as well as the historical development of landscape and garden design; including a basic overview of tree species; a brief over-view of the compositional and technical principles of comprehensive outdoor design solutions with an emphasis on blue-green infrastructure, environmental protection, sustainable development, and ecological awareness. Plus the irreplaceable nature of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. The topics of KZT build upon those of KZI and are inextricably linked to the topics covered in the bachelor?s program (KZ1, KZ2).
Knowledge Students: 1. Understands the principles of landscape creation and protection, including the legislative framework and prin-ciples of land-use planning. 2. Understands the typology of residential, urban, landscape, and special green spaces and their functional signifi-cance. 3. Is familiar with the historical development and cultural context of garden and landscape design. 4. Has mastered the principles of public space design and its relationship to utility networks and infrastructure. 5. Understands the technical and compositional principles of designing parks, recreational areas, garden monu-ments, and protective green spaces Skills Students: 1. Designs conceptual and detailed solutions for landscape and garden design in accordance with the cultural and natural context. 2. Coordinates greenery designs with utility networks and other components of the area. 3. Applies the principles of environmental protection, blue-green infrastructure, and sustainable development to de-signs. 4. Evaluates designs in terms of their aesthetic, functional, and ecological benefits. 5. Designs the revitalization and reconstruction of historic and heritage-protected garden complexes.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Presentation of artistic and creative activities
an independent semester-long project in the form of an extension of the studio assignment. An oral exam or written test based on questions assigned in advance from both semesters.
