Course content
Acquiring knowledge of the curriculum taught in the courses entitled Statics, Metal and Timber Structures, Concrete and Masonry Structures and Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in the analysis, check and design of structures made of various materials. The knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge will be verified by the students' answers to the questions posed by the members of the examination board about the specific problems concerning various types of building structures and their parts.

Learning outcomes
The exam tests knowledge mainly from the professional subjects STA1,2; BK1,2 and KK1,2, taught at KNK FUA. Emphasis is placed on knowledge of the principles of functioning of load-bearing structures of buildings and on the application of acquired knowledge in the work of an architect when designing buildings.
Knowledge in the field of load-bearing building structures in the field of architecture of buildings and the ability to apply them in architecture. Ability to cooperate with specialists in the field of statics and dynamics of buildings in the design and execution of buildings.
Prerequisites
Successful previous completion of the subjects SG, BK1, BK2, KK1, KK2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

The material, the knowledge of which is necessary to pass the state exam in load-bearing structures, is contained in the study texts of the subjects STA1, STA2, SG, BK1, BK2, KK1 and KK2, available on TUL E-learning.
