Through their bachelor's thesis, students demonstrate creative maturity and the acquisition of the knowledge and skills necessary for architectural and urban design at the level of a bachelor's degree graduate. They demonstrate their ability to independently solve architectural and urban design tasks of moderate difficulty. Architectural and urban design respecting the assignment. Relationship of the design to the location, purpose, cultural and social context. Respect for material and structural relationships. Architectural design and presentation at an advanced level. Approximate schedule of work during the semester: 1. Analysis of the assignment 2. Concept 3.-12. Development of the design 13. Preparation of the presentation 14. Completion of the bachelor's thesis Learning outcomes: Knowledge After completing and defending their bachelor's thesis, students: 1. Are familiar with the methodology of independent project work in the field of architectural and urban design. 2. Understand the relationship between design and broader cultural, social, functional, and spatial contexts. 3. Master the basic theoretical principles and knowledge related to the structural, material, and technological aspects of design. Skills Students: 1. Are able to independently analyze a given architectural and urban planning problem of medium difficulty. 2. Is able to formulate a design concept based on their own critical reflection on the location, purpose, and assignment. 3. Is able to develop a project from the conceptual phase to a design at a level corresponding to documentation for zoning proceedings or a conceptual design with detailed sections. 4. Is able to apply theoretical, technical, and legislative knowledge in design. 5. Is able to present a project at an advanced level in the form of drawings, visualizations, and oral presentations. General competencies Students: 1. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and systematically on complex tasks in the field of architecture and urban planning. 2. Demonstrate a creative and responsible approach to solving spatial, functional, and aesthetic relationships in design. 3. Demonstrate the ability to critically reflect on their own work and defend it in professional discussions. 4. Demonstrate the ability to integrate and apply knowledge from various fields of study (theory, construction, technology, urbanism, aesthetics, sustainability) into a single design whole.
