Course content
This course represents an introduction to the computational linguistics and also addresses the more general task of effective computer text processing. Students will be familiarized with modern script languages (like Perl), methods for formal description of natural language and its statistical processing, basic principles of tagging and parsing algorithms and also with practical aspects that are connected with the use of regular expressions for text processing and searching.

Learning outcomes
