Course content
Lectures 1. Technical documentation in Machine engineering. 2. Orthogonal Projection, Intersections, projection in cross-sections. 3. Dimensioning, Surface specification. 4. Constructional materials and raw products. Drawing the standard elements. 5. Dimension precision, tolerances. 6. Elementary structures. CAD systems. 7. Modeling of the Machine components. Exercises complement the lectures and practice: Make a sketch, drawing for manufacturing (AutoCAD, ProEngineer).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
This subject is focussed on acquisition of basic methods of mechanical parts design.
The aim is the ability of orientation in constructional and mechanical documentation and basic skills in CA-design.
Prerequisites
No condition of registration.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written assignment

Activity on seminars, successful passing the tests, presentation of the individual project documentation and understanding of the lectured topics are required for getting the classified credit.
