Learning outcomes |
TThe second series of the core lectures of building construction. It focuses on the cladding structures of buildings (perimeter and roof cladding). It deals in more detail with the compositions, details and materials of cladding constructions. The current issues of building insulation and diffusely open and closed perimeter cladding are also discussed. Seminars are focused on application of knowledge about constructional systems of multi-storey buildings, namely by the elaboration of an assigned structural system (prefabricated and monolithic system), including its founding. Lectures: 1. - 2. Cladding structures of buildings (perimeter and roof cladding) - requirements, standards, physical principles 3. - 4. Compositions and materials of cladding constructions 5. Details and examples of circuit constructions 6. Details and examples of roof structures 7. Problems with thermal insulation of buildings 8. Diffusely open perimeter structures 9. Diffusively closed structures 10. ETICS 11. Examples of solutions - faults 12. Professional field trip
The student will be independently capable to orientate oneself in two areas of building physics: thermal and moisture behavior of buildings. He will be able to evaluate fundamental climatology aspects and influence of undirect loadings. |
