Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to prepare an individual thesis related to the studied bachelor's programme of Mechanical Engineering, the student's profile and the thematic focus of the future bachelor's thesis under the guidance of a supervisor (thesis supervisor) or a professional consultant. Within the project, students usually address partial parts of their future thesis, in particular a professional research summarising existing knowledge and solutions in the given field, or the design of design solutions or the preparation of experimental research. The thesis topics are available in the IS/STAG system after the start of the academic year. After booking a topic, the student is obliged to contact the thesis supervisor and ask for approval of the registration. In the case of interest in a topic of their own (not yet listed), they should contact an appropriate academic member of the faculty who can specify the topic, formally list it and, if necessary, lead it. If there is any ambiguity or need for consultation regarding the choice of a supervisor or the appropriate department where the topic can be addressed, the student may contact the seminar supervisor who will recommend an appropriate department.
