Course content
The module contains follow parts: Lectures: 1) Drivetrain, function, design, drivertain elements. 2) Transmissions. Manually shifted and automatic transmission. 3) Hydrostatic transmission of mobile machines, energy transmission and transformation in hydraulic circuits (the velocity control of the wheels) 4) Steering - system requirements, hydraulic and electric power asisted steering. 4WS 5) Braking systems, design and components of braking systems, 6) Vehicle stabilization systems, antilock braking systems, traction control system, electronic stability program, 7) Safety systems, information and communication. Practice: 1. Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics 2. Powertrain Architectures and Transmissions 3. Wheels and Tires, Requirements of the ""wheel/tire"" system 4. Steering, X_power-assisted steering 5. Braking systems (vehicle stabilization systems - ABS, ESP) 6. Testing of Vehicle

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused to: fundamental properties of driving system elements, accessories and control systems, design of structurally-constreined control systems: e.g. output feedback electrohydraulic control systems, block diagrams and signal flow graphs of engine control, transmission control, anti-lock brakes and other systems of vehicles.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Exam from subject HPM, RSMX.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Oral exam, Written exam

Student obtains the basic credit by elaboration the semester work. The examination has written and oral forms.
