Course content
The course consists of the following thematic units: 1. Types and categories of motor sport. 2. 2. 3. 2. 4. Aerodynamics of racing vehicles. 5. Bodywork and frames of racing vehicles. 6. Powertrain of racing vehicles. 7. Transmission systems of racing vehicles. 8. Power units of racing vehicles - construction. 9. Power units of racing vehicles - testing, calculations. 10. Tyres and wheels of racing vehicles. 11. Wheel suspension, suspension and steering of racing vehicles. 12. Racing vehicle braking systems. 13. Racing vehicle electronics and accessories. 14. ŠKODA Motorsport, Formula Student.

Learning outcomes
The focus of the course is to acquire basic theoretical knowledge of racing vehicles or special road vehicles designed for motorsport. The different categories of motorsport, the special rules of and technical regulations (homologation), safety and construction of the components of racing vehicles. The rally car category and its development, race car technology, race car power units, race car construction and service facilities, quality, logistics and commercial program will be explained and described in detail.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Prerequisites are in internal rule of department.
