Course content
Selected lecture topics: - Frequency spectrum distribution, characteristics of transmission media - Source and channel coding, digital modulation, data transmission security, error correction management - Mobile communications, cellular network principles - Generation 0 to 5 networks - principles of operation, available functions, services - Wireless networks IrDA, WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, GPS, WiMAX,... - Other wireless technologies - DVB-T, NFC, RDS, ADB-S, etc. - EMC - basic concepts - EMI (emission) and EMS (immunity), CE - EMC of biological and technical systems - Interfering signals and their sources - Interference coupling mechanisms - EMI - measurement of interfering signals - EMS - product testing - Measurement and testing equipment, EMC workstation design, shockless chamber - Standardisation - Methods of interference limitation - Electromagnetic shielding - EMC in automotive technology Exercise content: - Measurement of galvanic interference in a mains supply - Measurement of capacitive coupling disturbances on a PCB - Measurement of inductive coupling interference between power and data conductors - Measurement of interference by radio transmission coupling - near-field measurement - Measurement of interference by radio transmission coupling - in a GTEM chamber according to EN 61000-4-20 - Flicker interference measurement according to EN 61000-4-15 - Environmental electromagnetic background measurement - NV No. 291/2015 Coll. on health protection - Susceptibility test - interference to power supply - galvanic coupling according to EN 61000-4-4, 4-5 - Susceptibility test - interference to data lines - capacitive coupling according to EN 61000-4-4 - Susceptibility test - interference to data conductors - inductive coupling according to EN 61000-4-6 - Susceptibility test - electrostatic discharge according to EN 61000-4-2 - Susceptibility test - against magnetic fields according to EN 61000-4-8, 9 - Susceptibility test - short-term voltage drops and interruptions according to EN 61000-4-11 - Calculations with suppression elements 1, 2, 3
