Course content
Properties of general power circuit, PWM, Thermal properties of power semiconductor devices, bipolar and unipolar semiconductor power switches, passive elements for power circuits, power sources, topology and properties of rectifiers, inverters and converters, protection of power semiconductor devices, basics of EMC.

Learning outcomes
Properties of general power circuit, PWM, Thermal properties of power semiconductor devices, bipolar and unipolar semiconductor power switches, passive elements for power circuits, power sources, topology and properties of rectifiers, inverters and converters, protection of power semiconductor devices, basics of EMC.
Students will acquire the basic concepts of the power electronic circuits features and application.
