Course content
1. Definition of enterprise and legal forms of business 2. Selected aspects of individual phases of company development (seed, start-up, later stage, growth / expansion) 3. Business plan 4. Property and capital structure of the company, costs, revenues, economic result 5. Basics of financial analysis of a company, evaluation of financial health of a company 6. Investment activity, investment financing, methods of evaluating the effectiveness of investment projects 7. Theoretical foundations of management 8. Strategic management. Strategic approaches. Methods and techniques of strategic management 9. Change management. Invention, innovation, protection of intellectual property 10. New trends in economics and business

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of business and business management and business support. Teaching is focused on the general theoretical characteristics of the company and entrepreneurship, resp. business environment. The practical site mainly addresses the issues of financial management and investment, support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic, etc.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
