Aim: The KJD4B course is a stepping-stone between KJD3B and kJD5B. It is an intensive course requiring not only class attendance and participation, but also considerable independent study. Part-time students will need to diagnose their own strengths and weaknesses in grammar and vocabulary. These gaps will be filled in KJD4B with students being directed to resoures to help them practice. Reading and Speaking skills are practiced in class. The overall aim of this course is not only to cover the language and skills taught at JD4B level, but to prepare students to pass the Final Practical Language Exam (FPLE), which is taken in the winter semester of their third year. Výstupy z učení
|
Obsah předmětu navazuje na předmět Jazykové dovednosti 3 a směřuje k dalšímu zdokonalování úrovně jazykové kompetence studentů. Studenti jsou vedeni k plynulé a přesné komunikaci se zaměřením na výběr vhodné lexikální jednotky a správné gramatické struktury. Poslechové dovednosti jsou dále zlepšovány prostřednictvím poslechových úkolů, které demonstrují různé varianty výslovnosti angličtiny.

Rozhovor, Test
Assessment: This course finishes with a graded credit. 1) Credit Test This tests the language of Units 1-5 of the full time students' course book Objective Proficiency and exam folders 1 and 2. (Also included is language from the Answers and Recording Scripts: pages 192-213). There is also a Reading component. Students must pass with an average of 70 to qualify for the oral assessment. 2) Oral Assessment The purpose of the Oral Assessment is to give feedback on all aspects of a student's spoken English including fluency, accuracy, pronunciation and overall impression. If a student is particularly weak at speaking, they will be heartily invited to come again at a later date - after more practice. The final graded credit will be based on a student's marks in the written test as well as in the oral assessment. There are two attempts to pass the Credit Test. The first takes place in the semester; the second in the exam period, at a date agreed upon. Credit: Students MUST - follow the course book and do the tasks on Moodle - excuse all absences via email. Outgoing Erasmus students should contact their respective JD4 teacher to inform them of their absence and indicate when they will be returning to Liberec. Arrangements should then be made, ideally in the first month of the semester, for a date when the Credit Test can be taken. The test must be taken on site.
