Výstupy z učení
|
Tento kurz je zaměřen na některé čtenářsky úspěšné autory a adaptace jejich děl. Cílem je umožnit studentům orientovat se v četbě populární literatury anglofonního kulturního kontextu. Hlavní důraz je kladen na témata, která mohou zaujmout žáky 2. stupně základních a středních škol, nebo která se zabývají otázkami relevantními pro tyto věkové skupiny. Kurz záměrně analyzuje jak kanonizovaná, tak komerčnější díla, aby umožnil studentům najít společné body v těch dvou odlišných skupinách textů a motivoval budoucí učitele k nasměrování jejich budoucích žáků k četbě klasiků a k chuti číst obecně.

Absolvování kurzů Kultura I: Úvod do kultury a literatury, Kultura II: Britská Studia a Kultura III: Americká studia a aspoň jednoho povinného kurzu literatury v rámci specializace.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria
|
Prezentace skupinové práce, Ústní prezentace samostatné práce studenta, Test
1) A 15-20 minute student presentation on one of the seminar topics. 2) Mini-quizzes: 70% accuracy on average is satisfactory; in case all mini-quizzes are done, the two worst results will be ignored. 3) End-term test. 4) Regular attendance in the seminars (maximum two missing classes.) Active participation in the seminars is mandatory: each member of the seminar is expected to read carefully all the texts and to come prepared to discuss the topics on each class.
