Studijní aktivity a metody výuky
Samostatná práce studentů (studium textů, literatury, problémové úkoly,výzkum, pisemná práce), Přednáška, Cvičení
  • Účast na výuce - 28 hodin za semestr
  • Domácí příprava na výuku - 15 hodin za semestr
  • Příprava na zápočet - 17 hodin za semestr
Výstupy z učení
Cílem předmětu je pomoci studentům angličtiny zefektivnit jejich dovednosti čtení, zejména skimming, scanning, rozšiřování slovní zásoby, apod. Pasáže ke čtení jsou vybrány z knih vydaných v současnosti, přičemž je vždy kladen důraz jak na jejich jazykový obsah, tak na jejich věcný přínos k důležitým tématům současnosti. Studenti jsou vedeni k tomu, aby se naučili správně vyhodnotit psané slovo a zaujmout k němu odpovídající stanovisko. Webová aplikace Goodreads je použita jako učební a studijní nástroj. Jedna vyučovací sekce probíháv univerzitní knihovně TUL a je zaměřena na využití služeb knihovny pro studijní a vědecké účely.
Studenti získají sebedůvěru při čtení textů, které jsou určeny pro rodilé mluvčí angličtiny. Setkají se s aktuálními tématy a budou je muset pročíst a přemýšlet o nich. Budou vyzváni k tomu, aby kriticky posoudili nějakou pasáž na téma podle vlastního výběru.

Systematické pozorování studenta, Ústní prezentace samostatné práce studenta

Požadavky na studenta: Full-time studens Attendance: Compulsory, 2 absences allowed Forms of communication: email, Moodle Forum, individual or group (online) consultations Assessment: The credit will be awarded to students who have - attended all classes (2 absences allowed). Absence must be excused by email. - participated in all class activities - viewed and studied regularly the study materials on Moodle - answered the regular Forum questions on Moodle - completed all the reading tasks by the due date - passed the oral assessment (based on the areas covered in class/e-learning + a critical analysis and a comparison of two selected books) Part-time students Assessment: The credit will be awarded to students who have - participated in all class activities - viewed and studied regularly the study materials on Moodle - answered the regular Forum questions on Moodle - completed all the reading tasks by the due date - passed the oral assessment (based on the areas covered in class/e-learning + a critical analysis and a comparison of two selected books)
