Course content
|
Legal rules and restrictions on the collection of minerals, rocks and fossils. Possibilities of obtaining samples for collection, its creation and rules of storing samples. Sources of information on deposits, minerals, fossils and rocks. Geological, paleolontological and mineralogical collections in museums in the Czech Republic and in the world. Practical possibilities of extended presentation of geological, paleolontological and mineralogical attractions (geological walks, types for trips, etc.) During the exercises, students will get acquainted with practical activities in creating a collection (editing and documentation of samples, obtaining information about deposits, rocks, fossils and minerals). They also take part in a tour of the geological collections of the selected museum and learn to present to students both rocks, fossils and minerals from the collection, as well as computer presentations of other information about rocks, minerals, fossils and their deposits.
