Course content
Students will get acquainted with plant diversity and mutual relations of individual groups. Plant system during evolution. Green algae and higher plants - basic characteristics, method of reproduction, occurrence, ecological significance, system and typical representatives. Higher plants: mosses, nematodes and liverworts, rhine plants, ferns, legumes and flowering plants. In practical exercises, students will observe on living material typical representatives of the discussed families. Students take an excursion to the Botanical Garden in Liberec, focused on the systematics, diversity and distribution of plants on Earth.

The condition of the credit is active participation in the exercises, processing of the herbarium and successful completion of the final test (plant identification).
