Course content

1. Basics of systematics (taxonomy, binomial nomenclature and phylogeny, phylogenetic trees). 2. Protozoa (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 3. Diblastica (Placozoa), Porifera, Cnidaria, Ctenophora (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and important representatives). 4. Protostomia - Lophotrochozoa (Platyhelminthes) and Ecdysozoa (Nematoda); (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 5. Protostomia - Lophotrochozoa (Annelids (Annelida)) and Mollusca (Mollusca)); (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 6. Protostomia - Ecdysozoa (Anthropoda); Spiders and Crustaceans (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 7. Protostomia - Ecdysozoa (Anthropoda); Insects I (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 8. Protostomia - Ecdysozoa (Anthropoda); Insects II (beetles and butterflies); (biology, anatomy and morphology, system and significant representatives). 9. The aim of the subject is to obtain a basic overview in the field of animal systematics, especially in the areas of: basics of systematics, Protozoa, Diblastica, Protostomia, Deuterostomia, Vertebrates, Ethology and ecology
