Course content
Fundamental terms and laws in chemistry. Theory of chemical bonds, relationship with structure of matters and their properties. States of matters. Chemical reactions, classification, kinetics and chemical equilibria. Equilibria in solutions of elektrolytes. Introduction to colloid chemistry.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 80 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Master: Fundamental terms and laws in chemistry. Theory of chemical bonds, relationship with structure of matters and their properties. States of matters. Chemical reactions, classification, kinetics and chemical equilibria. Equilibria in solutions of elektrolytes. Introduction to colloid chemistry.
To explain and deduce basic knowledge on field, including simpler problem solving. To work practically and safely in chemistry lab.

knowledge of high school chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination

credit - active participation in exercises (continuous tests), credit test, active performance of tasks during lectures (min. 50% success rate in total)
